Bella Vita van de Molendreef is from one of Belgium’s most famous mare lines. Her full sister, Via Volo van de Molendreef, was 2011 Horse of the Year in the United States and competed in the Olympics with Beezie Madden. Another full brother of Bella Vita, Cliff-Hanger van de Molendreef, is a 1.60 m international jumper in Ukraine. And yet another full brother of Bella Vita, Deep Purple van de Molendreef, is an approved stallion and international jumper in Germany. Bella Vita has produced several good foals for her previous owner (including a mare that is owned by Haras des Coudrettes, Caretina Alia, and a 1.40 m jumper, Ubama Alia), and has produced 4 outstanding foals for us so far. The first, another Nonplusultra Alia colt, Manhattan Quality. The remaining three were each Kannan, and included Nic Nac Quality, born in 2013, who is an approved Zangersheide stallion and is owned by the famous stallion farm Van de Heffinck. That cross was followed up with Kannan colts in 2016, King Quality Z, and 2017, Helios Quality. In 2019, she produced a super-sweet colt, Jamais Sans Moi DKS. In 2022, Bella Vita finally produced not one but TWO fillies, Mademoiselle Fly DKS, from a very consistent son of Galoubet A, as well as Miraculous DKS, a filly by Kashmir vant’t Schuttershoff.
