Hacienda van de Molendreef is our “little dynamite” mare. Hacienda is the favorite of her owner, Dejan Krunic, so she had the unenviable duty of packing him around 1.15-1.20 m courses for several years. Still, she always did it with great courage and attitude, and has not refused a jump in her ENTIRE life! Finally, Hacienda earned the right to see her potential further developed, so of late she has been superbly ridden by Marlies van Soest and Holly Shepherd over larger courses. Hacienda debuted in the 1.40 m classes in the spring 2017, winning her first class at that height! She went on to compete in the 1.30 m open division at the Gulf Coast Winter Circuit with great success.
We have great hopes for this little careful mare with astonishing amounts of scope. Her mare line is known for great bravery, and this mare is no exception! She wants to work and wants to fight for her rider. Hacienda’s dam is the famous Hydra O, who is the dam of 6 international jumpers. Hydra is the foundation mare of one of Belgium’s best mare lines. Hydra’s children and grandchildren include international showjumpers such as Beezie Madden’s Olympic mount Via Volo, Darragh Kenny’s Twister, Lauren Hough’s Every Way van der Molendreef, and many more.
Hacienda van de Molendreef has produced three foals for us. Beginning in 2013, she produced a filly, Hopscotch DKS (Orlando-Clinton-Beach Boy). Hopscotch DKS is currently ridden by Axelle Lagoubie, trained by Romain Bourdoncle. In 2019, we welcomed Jiveli DKS (Action-Breaker-Clinton-Beach Boy), and in the 2020 breeding season, we expect a Diamant de Semilly foal out of Hacienda van de Molendreef.
